For Motilal Oswal’s annual Rewards & Recognition programme, Jadoo Magic created 88 customised employee appreciation hampers around a fun Bollywood theme. Two hamper formats were curated within the same concept, with personalised framed certificates, specially customised Bollywood-inspired products and coordinated packaging. The gifts were delivered across multiple cities as well as to the company’s headquarters.
The idea was simple: employee recognition could feel celebratory without looking like another conventional corporate gift.
The Brief: Make Employee Appreciation Fun
When Motilal Oswal approached us for its annual R&R gifting, the brief wasn’t built around a particular product. They wanted something fun, memorable and useful for employees being recognised.
During our discussions, Bollywood emerged as a direction — and once we started exploring it, we decided not to stop at adding a filmi quote to a standard hamper. The entire gift needed to tell the same story !
That is also how we approach customised corporate gift hampers — starting with the recipient, occasion and idea before deciding what goes inside.
From a Bollywood Theme to “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar”
For an employee recognition programme, “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” felt almost too perfect.
We developed the theme and carried it onto the hamper packaging, creating an immediate connection between the Bollywood reference and the reason the recipient was receiving the gift in the first place: they were being celebrated for an achievement.
Inside, the Bollywood story continued. We specially customised pieces such as a Mughal-e-Azam inspired tote bag, a movie-themed cushion cover, a set of four coasters featuring iconic Hindi-film references and an All Is Well sipper. Movie-night elements such as popcorn and Coke, along with funky sunglasses, made the hamper playful rather than overly formal.
But the most important piece was still about recognition: each employee received a framed certificate personalised with their name and award.
That balance mattered. The hamper was fun, but the achievement remained at its centre.
One R&R Theme, Two Hamper Formats
This project also shows something HR and procurement teams often need when planning employee Rewards & Recognition gifts: different gifting requirements do not necessarily need completely different concepts.
For this programme, we created 70 larger hampers and 18 smaller hampers. The product mix and packaging differed, with the smaller format using a mailer box, but both remained part of the same Bollywood universe. There was no visual disconnect between the two.
That is an approach companies can use for R&R programmes, annual awards, milestone recognition or employee appreciation initiatives where different hamper configurations are required. The curation can change while the larger gifting story remains consistent.
Taking the Celebration Beyond the Office
The hampers were prepared recipient-wise and dispatched across multiple cities, with part of the order also going to Motilal Oswal's headquarters.
And perhaps our favourite feedback came afterwards.
The team loved the concept enough to create reels with the hampers at their workplaces.
For us, that's a lovely measure of whether a corporate gift made an impression. It wasn't simply received and put aside — people wanted to engage with it.
Corporate Gifting Doesn't Always Have to Play Safe
There will always be a place for elegant drinkware, premium desk accessories and classic corporate hampers. But as corporate gifting becomes more year-round, every gifting occasion doesn't have to follow the same formula.
Rewards & Recognition is about celebrating people. Sometimes a little humour, nostalgia or pop culture can communicate that celebration far better than a conventional gift.
The Motilal Oswal project is a good example of what can happen when a company is willing to step outside the safe zone — and lets the idea lead the products rather than the products dictate the hamper.
